Guard patrolling device for security service

Patrolling Device for Security Service

Patrolling is esential in security service for any sectors of business. Basically to deter criminal activity and maximize safety in particular areas, protecting both people & property. There are no prove that guards are performing their routine patrol at each check points. That is why the Security company in Malaysia introduce Guard Patrolling device  for security service to prove that their guards are doing routine checks during the patrol. The advantages are simply to get the security guards to
1. patrol
2. Check the surrounding at each check points
3. provide report if something wrong
4. Used as evidence that the guards followed their SOP.

In the old days the key and lock base patrolling device was used. You have to simply carry a small box to the designated place where the key is hung. The guard then insert the key into the box so the serial number of the key is stored in the box. a report is generated by pulling a long tape printed with checkpoints, time and date from the box.

Today newer technology is introduce for a better performance and tamper free. A digital device is use for patrolling. It comprises of digital reader, check point button and software to read the patrolling information. furthermore some of the device has extra features like GPS, Wifi and GSM that is automatically uploads guards activity and their whereabouts.

CCTV for Security Services

CCTV for security services is essential for Guarding. In the old days most of the CCTV system was running on analogue system that means it runs on low resolution and less frame per second. Today the security system are rather easy and cheaper to set up.
Blue i Security believe security guarding should be accompanied with guards and technology thus CCTV comes in first in the list. When we deploy our security guards into our customer’s premise Bluei will ensure that the security surveillance are in place if not we will set it up ourselves (depending on the understanding and terms with customers).

Our priority is
1. Ensure that the security guard house is equipped with HD CCTV cameras.
2. Entrance and Exit of the premise is covered with HD cameras
3. Perimeters are secured with HD cameras
4. The valuables are covered with HD CCTV cameras.
5. Covers the areas that is risky or prone to break in.

CCTV System should be able to
1. Record at HD quality for more than 1 month.
2. Alarm the guards if the restricted area is breached.
3. Record remotely so if the recorder is destroyed you are still able to get the evidence from the remote server.
4. Able to view the cameras remotely from the security control room via internet.

Blue i has been successful in deploying CCTV for Security Service purposes.

Electronic Security Guard enhances Security Service

Security Guards Services Today
Static security guarding is going thru a lot of challenges, not only the service rates are expensive but it is tough to manage manpower. Premise owner’s today are looking at an alternative solution for protection. On the other hand security companies relying on human guarding are seeing a rising cost as the need for enhanced training, vetting, vehicle maintenance & accommodation.
There is also the intrinsic risk that the static guards are failing due to human error such as lack of concentration, distractions and unintended absenteeism. Manned guards also have the physical limitation as we know they are not superhuman thus affects the consistency.

“Electronic Guard” Security Solutions
An Electronic Guard is a security system allows sites to be protected 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Developed and Owned by Blue I Security, The “Electronic Guard” consists of HD IP Cameras, Speaker, auto announcement system, built in CMS and Behavior analysis system. Electronic Guard Camera systems are a considerably cheaper option than human guarding.
For a basic installation of Electronic Guards can provide a great savings to customers. They can profit by saving 45% of their money put into electronic guarding as oppose to human guarding per year.
Blue I Security’s Electronic Security Guard System is perhaps the ultimate solution for cost reduction solution hence highly efficient. At present the Electronic Guard can’t eliminate the human guard entirely but it help to reduce the number of human guard presence. E.g. For a premise that needs 10 guards, you may only need to provide 6 guards Plus an Electronic Guard. Security Guards Boleh!

The security guards in Malaysia…..Boleh! If the Paralympics of Malaysia can win 3 gold medals in RIO 2016 today, we don’t see why our Security Guards can’t be excellent. Blue i security is taking the winners of the Paralympic of Malaysia as a motivation for our security team. There are approximately 800 licensed security service provider in Malaysia. KDN, PDRM and PPKKM has given their best by introducing security guards training in order to maintain the standard of the security industry in this country. Ever since the commencement training such as CSG (certified Security Guard) & TNG (Trained Nepal Guards), there has been great improvement of our security guards. Blue i Security believes that we have to do more by continuing in-house training for the guards that has attended CSG or TNG courses.

Blue I Congratulates the Winners;  Mohamad Ridzuan Mohamad Puzi, Muhammad Ziyad Zolkefli and Abdul Latif Romly for bringing in gold medals to Malaysia. Mohamad Ridzuan won the first gold medal for Malaysia in the men’s 100m T36 (cerebral palsy category) dash. He clocked 12.07 seconds to erase the old Paralympics record of 12.25s set by Roman Pavlyk from Ukraine at the 2008 Beijing Paralympic. That being said, we hope for more positive news about our beloved country. Our security industries is not about winning but persistence in building knowledge, skills and discipline just like the winners of the Malaysian Paralympic team.

There have been a lot of negative comments about the security guards quality in the past. However, the last 1 year more emphasis was given in regards to training and knowledge for crafting quality security guard. Also, most of our Malaysian guards are screened for their background before placing them into a security assignment.  More and more security guards are from the educated background which means they are easier to be trained. Our guards are even more well paid after the recent announcement of basic pay of RM1000.00  which has been commenced. As a result, it improved the guards quality.

Something to ponder upon, there are more security guards than the Policeman in our country. Security guards are essential to bringing down the crime rates and provide further assistance to the PDRM. Therefore, constant motivation to our security guards leads to more productive and quality guards which inevitably reduces our crime rate. So once again, security guards ………Boleh!!!!

Security Guard Top 10 Gears

Security guards carry lots of gear, and any good guards will have the equipment required to protect not only themselves, but the property they are assigned to. Here’s a list of the top 10 pieces of equipment that most security officers will have.

1. Torchlight

A flashlight is one of the most important pieces of equipment that a security guard can carry.
Even if you’re assigned to a day job where a flashlight may not seem necessary, it’s still important to be equipped with one because certain scenarios may require some extra light to help you see, and you never want to go into a dark location without one.
Furthermore, a flashlight can be used for protection. Many flashlights that security officers carry are heavy duty, long metal flashlights that could potentially be used as a striking device.
No special training is needed in order to carry a flashlight, although there are training programs that you can enroll in that may teach you how to effectively use one in a combat situation.
Most security officers (and police officers too!) carry a Maglite flashlight because of their durability, bright light, and solidness.

2. Security Baton
Batons are another important piece of equipment that patrolling officer use to protect themselves. More importantly, however, they are a weapon that can keep a property safe without even being used. Just the fact that you have one in your belt that people can see will usually be enough to make sure things stay calm. People know that if you were to pull this weapon out, it could definitely do some damage.
In most states, however, you will be required to complete a training course specialized for handling a baton before you can legally carry one while on duty. Some companies may require that you complete this training before you are hired.

3. Boots
A good pair of security guard boots is extremely important.
Most security guards I’ve spoken to say that a good pair of boots can make the difference between coming home with sore legs and a sore back, and coming home comfortable without any aches and pains.
Because most security guards spend their shifts walking around on patrol, a pair of durable boots will last a lifetime. A cheap pair will not only end up hurting you, but will also wear out and you’ll find yourself having to buy a new pair at least twice a year.
Most uniforms require a pair of black boots, but you’ll want to check with your employer first before investing in some quality boots for yourself and your feet.

4. Security Guard Belt
Security Guard Belt The security guard belt is another important piece of equipment for any serious security guard. It makes carrying all of the pieces of equipment listed here (and more) much much easier.
The last thing a security officer wants to do is fumble around looking for his/her flashlight or pepper spray when they need it most.
Belts usually come with extra pieces that slide or clip on so you can attach additional pieces of equipment on it.

5. Pepper Spray
A security guard should definitely look into being equipped with pepper spray because it is one of the best ways to temporarily repress an attacker or unlawful individual, without actually causing any permanent damage to that individual.
Although civilians are allowed to purchase pepper spray for protection (i.e. for students and hikers), police officers and security guards may need to undergo pepper spray training in order to understand how and when to properly use it while on duty. Please check with your employer as far as requirements in order to use pepper spray.

6. A Cell Phone
All security guards should carry a cell phone. Although much of the communication you will do as a security officer may be through a walkie-talkie or other radio type device, a cell phone will give you the ability to quickly call the proper authorities or fire department when required to.
Before your first day on duty, put all of the most important numbers into your address book on your phone, or even better, into speed dial so they can be dialed almost immediately.

7. Security Vest with reflector
Many security guards work in bad climates where it is dark and might not be so clear of their present. Not only it keeps them warm during the cold nights it also indicates the present of the guards.

8. Digital Camera
A digital camera can be a security guard’s best friend, especially if it has video capabilities. The pictures and videos that you take can make it so much easier for you to describe different events and situations that arise, especially if you’re forced to go to court to testify.
You can take pictures of property, people, vehicles, crime scenes – almost anything you can think of that is pertinent to your job and the reports that you write up.

9. Whistle
A whistle is probably the smallest and most essential gears that a security personnel should posses. One that witnessing a crime should find away to notify by blowing it, This alarm the security team at work.

10. A Mini-First Aid Kit
A mini-first aid kit is perfect for security guards to have, not only for themselves, but for the people in and around the location that they are assigned to.
For example, if you’re working in a retail area and someone comes up to you asking for a band-aid (which they will do – you are the most visible person who people can easily walk up to for help), the last thing you want to do is waste time trying to find one. If you have a kit on hand, you can help out any person in need, and get back to your duty and patrol as soon as possible.
